JATHANIEL FOUNDATION | SEPTEMBER & OCTOBER OUTREACH

We don't just visit. We return.

Since last year, we have continued checking on families in our community, listening to their needs and finding ways to support them.

In September, we visited a young mother and her baby in Makokoba and donated groceries. In October, we returned to the Mabhebhe family in Mabutho, where we also donated groceries, prayed together, listened to their challenges, and encouraged the family to remain united. We also discussed the children's future, including educational and clothing needs.

For us, community outreach goes beyond giving. It's about building connections, following up, and showing people that they have not been forgotten.

We may not be able to do everything, but we will continue doing what we can with what we have.

*EMERGENCY FAMILY SUPPORT OUTREACH - THIS COMING WEEK*

Sometimes a family just needs someone to show up.

This coming week, Jathaniel Foundation volunteers will be visiting an underprivileged family in our community — a family facing real hardship and in need of love, hope, and practical support.

*OUR GOAL:* Not just to give, but to _be there_.

*How We Plan To Mobilize Volunteers & Support:*

*1. Grocery Drive*
We are appealing to volunteers and the greater community for basic food supplies — mealie meal, rice, cooking oil, sugar, flour, beans. Every packet counts.

*2. Cash Donation for Transportation*
To get our team and the donated goods to the family, and to help the family access essential services. Any amount is welcome.

*3. Counselling Session*
Our volunteers will sit with the family, listen to their story, offer emotional support and encouragement. To remind them — You Are Not Alone.

*4. Sharing Scripture and Prayer*
We will share the Word and pray with the family for strength, healing and hope.

*5. Finding a Long-Term Solution*
Beyond this visit, we are working to link the family to government, council, and other NGOs for self-sufficiency programs and education assistance — so the support continues.

Today, we celebrate the woman behind Jathaniel Foundation. ❤️

Happy Birthday to our Founder, Melissa Marufu Acero.

The heart behind Jathaniel was never simply about starting an organisation. It was about seeing people, reaching for those who feel forgotten, and building a community where healing hearts and holding hands becomes more than words.

Through the years, Melissa has continued to remind us that we don't need to have everything to make a difference. We simply need to do what we can with what we have, with a whole heart.

Today, we celebrate her life, her courage, her vision, her heart for people and the journey she continues to build.

May this new chapter bring greater heights, greater impact and even more beautiful reasons to be grateful.

Yesterday our team visited a children’s home to donate clothes, shoes, colouring books, and crayons.

Through the Jathaniel Foundation, we believe in showing up for our communities and creating moments of hope where they are needed most.

Acts of service like these remind us that change begins with compassion and a willingness to care for one another.
