Nissan 1400\1200 health tip
1. Ball joints & tie-rod ends
If they have grease ni***es → use multi-purpose lithium grease (NLGI #2).
Grease every 5,000–10,000 km.
If sealed type (no ni**le) → you can’t grease them; replace when worn.
2. Propeller shaft (U-joints)
Use high-temperature lithium or moly grease.
Grease until you see fresh grease push out slightly.
If you hear a clunk when shifting gears → check here first.
3. Leaf springs (rear)
Light spray grease between leaves can reduce squeaks.
Don’t overdo it — dirt sticks to grease.
4. Door hinges & bonnet latch
Light machine oil or spray grease.
Avoid thick grease inside locks — use graphite powder for locks instead.
5. Clutch & brake pedal pivot points
Small amount of grease to stop squeaks.
Don’t contaminate brake components.
