The majority of learner drivers in South Africa receive only 10 to 15 hours of training and most of those hours

are spent in the yard learning to park! To achieve a high level of competence, BlueChevron learners cover more than 1000 km as part their intensive 40 hour programme. The course incorporates advanced driving techniques which are aimed at developing a high degree of situational awareness, and accurate hazard perception. Training modules include threshold braking, trail braking, skid recovery, night driving, high speed cornering, and hostile environment awareness. Learners who complete the full 40 hour course receive a BlueChevron Defensive Driving certificate.

That includes Code 10 (C)... So choose carefully which licence code you sign up for. If you know you don't need a truck licence please do code B (08), learn to drive cars properly and as a bonus your card will be valid for 10 years instead of 5 years.
