Technical Tuesday – Front Suspension Lift

Have you ever wondered how a Ferrari handles speed bumps and steep driveways? That’s where the front suspension lift system comes into play.
The lift system uses hydraulic cylinders in the front suspension to lift the vehicle’s height with the press of a button.

Once engaged, hydraulic fluid compresses inside the cylinders, gently elevating the car to clear obstacles without compromising comfort.
The activation is simple and strategically placed for easy access, ensuring drivers can react quickly to tricky surfaces.

The system works at low speeds, typically up to 40 km/h. Beyond that, it automatically lowers to maintain Ferrari’s signature handling performance.

Meet the bespoke Ferrari HC25, a from our Special Projects programme, a unique car sketched and built according to the wishes of a single client who reaches the pinnacle of personalisation. Reinterpreting the aesthetic codes, it expresses a bold, forward looking design through voluptuous volumes and clean, geometric lines.

A turbo V8 mid-engined spider, this model is a perfect bridge: it concludes the iconic chapter of the mid-rear-engined V8 platform while clearly stepping onto the futuristic path Ferrari’s flagship models are taking—clear from its strong dual volume form, its front and rear visually united by a sculptural glossy black band wrapping its body and expressing the ’s mechanical heart. Finished in matte Moonlight Grey, we can also see the yellow accents of the Ferrari logos and the brake callipers echoed in the cabin, where the same dialogue appears between the sophisticated grey of the technical fabric and the yellow graphics that recall the boomerang shapes on the flanks and in the DRLs.
