Naikeon Remanufactured Bakkies

Latest 4Y engine installation. Looks like it came from factory this way......The new owner will take delivery of a (as new mechanically) RemanBakkie shortly. I trust that he will get at least 10 years of reliable service out of it. Toyota power.

Reman bakkie 001.
Going to drive it for first 1000km to run in whilst sorting out snags.

How does it go?
Ride: .....comfortable
Handling: ....typical as per as new bakkie
Brakes: great!
New Cluster: looks good but needs a bit of adjustments. GPS speedo works great.
Aestethics. Engine bay great...body and paint acceptable....interior.....let down by steering wheel, gearknob and A pillar plastic covers. Will sort it out.
Performance: still running in so will report on this at a later stage. and 170NM torque.....i don't expect to be blown away.

Other issues: needs spare wheel; spare key; the brake line and exhaust must be secured- noises;
Theres a whine from gearbox....that I will monitor whilst running in.

Bakkie 001:
remanufactured dash cluster to simplify systems.
Replaced with GPS speedo.
Common fault with Isuzu is speedo sender unit.
Printed out new faceplate on my 3d printer.

Paintwork done. 001 should be complete by this week end.

Revamped prop. On bakkie 00.
Take note of new centre bearing and totota yoke connecting Hilux gearbox to Isuzu prop shaft.

New 4Y drivetrain in place. Will we start demo bakkie tommorrow.

Julius our lead mechanic spent better of the day assembling engine and gearbox and ensuring new pulley for Isuzu power steering lines up and is secure.
On setback is that the repkacement front shocks were incorrect. No springs. Lesson learnt.
