• Know the hazards and risks;
• Be aware of your surroundings;
• Take regular breaks;
• Never take shortcuts on HSE rules;
• Use the right tools, equipment and material for the task;
• Report unsafe conditions and unsafe acts to HSE and;
• Always wear you PPE as instructed;

Our safety topic for the day …. Pinch Points
Getting any part of the body caught in a piece of machinery or between two objects can cause serious injuries.
Remember the following:
• Review the dangers of pinch points and the procedures for working safely on a regular basis.
• Perform frequent inspections and ensure machine guards are not missing.
• Encourage employees to communicate safety concerns to help avoid accidents before they happen.
• Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to reduce the potential for pinch points.
• Be aware of closing gates and doors. It is easy to have your fingers or hand in the wrong place, causing an injury to it when it is trapped between the objects.

• Obey the road signage at all times;
• Always comply with the road signage and apply fit for purpose driving;

1.exceeding 150 kilometres (one way) or

2.trips exceeding 3 hours (one way), irrespective of the number of drivers.

The JMP is valid for the full journey to, and return from, the site.”

Safety Topic for today:

Around 20% of all fatal crashes are fatigue related. Drivers that are fatigued or sleepy are less able to respond quickly to changes in the road environment (that is, reaction time is slower) and they are also less likely to notice things that may pose a risk on the road. Fatigue can be avoided by getting enough sleep before driving, take regular breaks (at least every 2 hours) for minimum 15min.
