Respect a Towtruck Driver:
Nobody know the fear we live in and the fear we have when we leave our house, kisses our family Goodbye, not knowing it will be the last that we see them. That one phone call to tell them we not coming back home and funeral arrangements should be made.
Nobody know the stress we have when we wait for a accident, nobody know the fear we have when we sit alone on a corner waiting for a call of help.
That very same guy, that walk past your Bakkie, asking a cigarette or some lose change, might be the Grim reaper that about to take your soul without a blink of a eye.
Towtruckers life is a life that involve speed and accuracy and also lots of calculations and knowledge of the area and surrounding.
While we rush past you in peak traffic or speed down your street, instead of screaming and swearing, ask the man above to guide us and take us safely to the accident scene where we might save a life.
Dont judge us because we are vultures, we are the ones that is available to you 24/7 whenever you drunk or sober, whenever you were involve in a accident or a flat tyre along the road in a dangerous area.
We dont ask much, we ask to be respected.
Our last kiss and hug to our families might be the last. And a couple days after the distress heart broken call, they will close the gasket door forever, never to our faces again.
Respect is much more valuable than money and greed.
