Good morning from Rouen!

Heading down to our campsite and stopped off for a sweet treat ☺️

Anglia has been absolutely brilliant, well done to Joe and his dad Andy for all the hard work.

Only a few hours to go and then it’ll be meeting up with the gang!

I drove 500 miles to attend one of the UKs biggest and most successful long running Morris Minor events, organised by the Dorset Branch.

Tomorrow I’m off on Minors On Tour on a very well deserved holiday, but in the meantime, I made sure to go and see the Queen Elizabeth II clothing display at Buckingham Palace.

What an absolutely brilliant treat it was (thanks M&J for the tickets!), with QE2’s wedding dress, coronation gown, christening gown, army uniform and off duty country gear all on display amongst hundreds of outfits many of us had only seen in photos.

Although it’s pretty much sold out, if you get a chance, go and see it in person. I promise even if you’re not a vintage fashion sort of person, the history and construction of all the garments is utterly fascinating.

Ps. My outfit is a 60s twin set, accessorised with a 60s Babycham brooch and plastic 60s earrings and a pair of Clarks V&A shoes. Not as glam as Liz, but nice to be out of heavy knits and coats!

What an absolutely fantastic weekend at Beaulieu, National Motor Museum Spring Autojumble and Moggyfest. I drove Nancy over 230 miles to the event and she was great, although I now have a horrific stone chip on my bonnet to sort 😬

I was also asked to help judge the best dressed in the vintage/lifestyle area and I hope we did it justice. There was such a great selection of entrants it was hard to pick a winner!

Videos will land next weekend but until then, it’s time to get home and get editing!

How’s your week going?

I was driving along and my horn centre push flew out and hit me in the chest 😅

Photo obviously taken once I’d reached destination (minus horn push) and was safely parked. Also you’ll spot a piece of tissue paper I had jammed in last summer when it happened last time to keep it secure. Remarkably, the Kleenex did its job until now.

WHY DO I NEVER LEARN 😂

PS. Bloody love old cars and the ridiculous stories you get to tell along the way.

Better late than not at all!

Who else took their classic to the polling station?

Best bit, today was 58 years since Nancy was registered. She’s looking far better for her age than I am 😂
