We are looking for a 3rd Shift Dispatcher & Shift Supervisor for our 24/7/365 towing and truck repair and towing company
This job is in-shop and is NOT a remote position.
The hours of the 3rd shift position are 11pm-7am Sunday through Thursday
(weekly shift begins 11pm Sunday into Monday; weekly shift ends 7am Friday)
We are also looking for Weekend Dispatchers-12 hour shift
We are an established but fast growing, 24/7 family-owned truck repair and towing company.
Absolute, non-negotiable requirement: We require the person to live within 30 minutes of our location in Lockport/Romeoville.
We are not looking for just a 'body' to sit and answer phones, We are looking for the 'right' person who is going to make a home here and fit in. This is a family, and we don't want just anyone sitting down for dinner with us. (in some cases; literally)

About us: Maurer is a well-established, family-owned towing, heavy haul and truck repair company. We have about 30 employees. We handle appx 150 jobs per week, and have around 20 core customers of our approximate 300 customer base. We are looking for someone who will take “ownership” of this position and take an active role as the company continues to grow.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Answering phones
- Dispatching/Logistics
- Communicating with technicians as to their job assignments, throughout the duration to ensure successful completion of the call.
- Communication with our customers relevant to in-progress, past or scheduling future jobs.
- Organization - MUST be organized, there are a lot of moving parts to this position.
Qualifications of our ideal candidate:
- Likes to SMILE and possesses excellent customer service skills as this is a customer service position as well. Smiles are contagious, can be heard through the phone and may just make someone's off day a little brighter.
- Is a spunky GO-GETTER with a POSITIVE, CAN-DO attitude with a great sense of humor and an easy going personality...there are some crazy busy times.
- MUST HAVE excellent listening comprehension and communication skills. If you do not like people, this is NOT THE JOB FOR YOU.
- MUST BE EXTREMELY organized and possesses attention to detail. There are a lot of moving parts to this position.
- Must be able to multi-task....with a smile.
- Possess decent computer skills and be able to type at a reasonable pace.
- The ideal candidate has experience with a family-owned company but not required.
Requirements:
- Must know the words to Happy Birthday

- A driver's license and a vehicle (there is no public transportation close to us)
- Lives within 30 minutes of Lockport/Romeoville
- Sign a non-disclosure and non-compete agreement
- Speak, read and write English
- Military experience is a big plus (but not necessary)
Compensation and Benefits:
COMPENSATION will be discussed at the time of the interview and is commensurate with experience.
