My book "The Willits Brothers and Their Canoes" is 20 years old this year, so it's time for an update. Lots of information that wasn't available to me for the 1st edition can now be used to make the Willits story even more accurate. I'm going to be busy!

We recently filmed some new footage for inclusion in a revised version of the award winning documentary film "Makers on the Tide". Here I am expounding on Willits Brothers Canoe 6C13, the oldest known surviving Willits canoe (ca 1916), that was donated recently to the Foss Waterway Seaport in Tacoma.

Recent canoe projects include installing new canvas and applying my secret sauce filler to a 1960's Old Town OTCA, working on the restoration of a 25' Old Town war canoe at Camp 4 Winds on Orcas Island, and removing all the wood from a spruce board that isn't a replica Willits paddle. I've been busy!
