Since the diesel is coming out for a full teardown and rebuild next year, figured let’s get a jump on it with the injectors and injection pump!

The 4 Cylinder Ford Lehman is a marinized version of the English built (so yea, it leaks) Ford Dorset engine. This was a common engine all over Europe in utility vehicles, cabs, tractors, etc.

While the parts supplies are great in the US, the one shop that everyone kept recommending for the injection pump is in the UK.

Good thing I’m headed back to the UK, this month… so I got them all cleaned up bagged and shrink wrapped and ready to fly with me to Amsterdam today. Our first show is the week of new years in Manchester, about 30 minutes from said injector pump specialist.

Sometimes it is a small world 😂

Wind died once we got on Lake Erie and we had a glassy crossing under motor. Up the Detroit River, quick fuel and boat wash stop at then on to Lake Huron! 48 hours after leaving Buffalo we were crossing under the bridge and entering Lake Huron…
