How is your new Tucson?

11/04/2023

My 22 Tucson has 20,000 miles and the weather stripping around the driver's door compartment, on the bottom, is already deteriorating and coming apart. I had it at the dealership yesterday for normal maintenance service and was told I had to take it to their Collision Facility and get an estimate for replacement. Shouldn't weather stripping be covered under the new car warranty?

Interesting. I've looked in all directions around the end of the finger --- but unfortunately see nothing. If referring to a thread burn, I'm not catching that either. It must be one of those 'so obvious I'm missing it' things. Otherwise, any dealer will have so many 'bigger fish to fry' for a mountain more warranty moola credit from the manufacturer on the really big R&R stuff clogging up their service bays to give a rip about a teeny 1/4" seat blemish.
Just keeping current world conditions in perspective. But I must hand it to that dealer with the "You drove it off our lot now it's your fault." comment is classic. And also immensely valuable in terms of your salvaged lower grief in life by NOT using them for future service.

Parting thought: I've had very surprising positive experience researching and finding an experienced furniture upholstery repair place to do my car work. More conscientious and usually more sane prices.

I have had it for a year and 15,000 miles.
I really like it, but........
Have not gotten used to the steering.
On the highway i can rarely find neutral, it fades to the right and i ever so lightly go left and it will keep going left ever so slowly, then a touch (thought) of right and slowly drifts to the right.
I have to make an adjustment every 3 or 4 seconds and hold the wheel with a death grip to have some semblance of control.
It's worse when its hot out and the tire pressure is 38-39 psi
If i engage the lane keeping the poor little thing makes adjustments every few seconds.
I got pulled over for wandering all over the road, i said I just got the car (truck) and am not use to it yet.
Had it in three times everything is how its supposed to be.

Heck my 20 year old Silverado drives better...???????

Tucsion air pressure

What is the preferred tire pressure for the 2022 Tucson PHEV? I just got a low audio pressure warning on one rear tire at 25 psi. The other three tires are at 29
The label on the door say 35 psi. What are your thoughts? Thanks all

Which accessories do current owners feel are the most important to have?

I'm planning on ordering a '23 hybrid PHEV and there's a good number of accessories listed when doing a "build a car" on the Hyundai website. Out of the following, which would you suggest?

*cargo cover / screen
cargo net
cargo tray
cargo package (includes the tray and the net, I think?)
*carpeted floor mats
roof rack cross rails
first aid kit
illuminated door sill plates
*mudguards
*winter weather package (refers to including "fitted interior floor liners and front and rear exterior mudguards")
So...does the above replace carpeted floor mats? What are the liners referred to?
tow hitch (I don't actually ever plan on towing anything but I guess one never knows for sure)
*wheel locks

The build-a-car feature says that the most popular accessories are the cargo net, carpeted mats, and wheel locks. The ones I placed an asterisk in front of would be (without fully understanding what a few actually consist of) the ones I'd likely go for.

So my dealer tells me that they attempt to find a car that best matches the accessories I'm looking for, but if they can't then they can add some of the others. Thanks for any input!

Just out of curiosity, exactly what makes up the 2023 “Black Out” package?

I’m only asking because at a local Hyundai Dealer we saw a 2023 Tucson Limited AWD (gas) that was Portofino Gray exterior, w/ gray interior and the window sticker had a Dealer ADM stating “Black Out Package - $2,999.99”.

The only exterior items that I saw “blacked out” was the entire front grille and the “Tucson” body name badges. I did not see anything else that stood out as being additional or “blacked out”. I think what I was seeing, was a total bogus mark up, yes?

Hi all, as my car is going to arrive and I want to book the front and rear rubber floor mats for it. However, the sales in dealership told me there were no suitable floor mats for it in the accessories store. If anyone is driving this with rubber floor mats to recommend? Thanks a lot~

Do you like this weather mat?

Now that I have a 2023 Ultimate PHEV on order, I've started looking at things like good winter floor mats. I currently have Weathertech mats in my other vehicles and want to get them for the Tucson as well.

On the Weathertech site, they show mats available for the Hybrid but nothing for the PHEV. I'm wondering if it's just because they haven't been able to do their 3D scanning of the PHEV yet or if there are any actual differences between the HEV and PHEV that would mean the mats designed for the HEV wouldn't fit the PHEV.

Anybody know?

Looking for all season liners for my 2023 hybrid. I notice the OEM ones say ICE models. Does anyone know if they fit the hybrid or if there is a version available for the hybrid?

Hi there. I’m in Toronto Canada and looking to buy a set of floor liners. I like the weather tech ones but they’re $268 for the set. I’ve looked at some alternate brands such as Huskey, Findway, Maxpider and a few more but they don’t yet have them for the 2022. Anyone have a good solution?

Also, for the cargo liner, I really want one that not only covers the trunk, but goes up the back row of seats. This is great and I had it on my Toyota. I carry a lot of stuff with my rear seats down so the extended trunk liner is great to keep the back of the seats clean. The problem is nobody sells it expect Hundai USA and Europe. See picture. A dealer in the UK will ship but the shipping cost is as much as the liner. Hyundai Canada said they don’t have access to it. Anyone have any suggestions for a good non universal) liner? Also, if there’s anyone in Toronto who wants to order this from the UK, the shipping charge is the same whether you buy one or two.
