We were proud to be a sponsor of the 2026 Women of Manufacturing Symposium, hosted by the Southwest Virginia Alliance for Manufacturing at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center in Abingdon, Virginia! 🎉

This annual event, held in honor of Women's History Month and International Women's Day, brings together women currently working in manufacturing, students exploring career opportunities, and industry leaders from across Southwest Virginia.

At Somic America, we believe in championing a diverse and skilled workforce, and events like this are exactly why. It was inspiring to be in a room full of talented, driven women who are shaping the future of manufacturing in our region.

Somic America is proud to strengthen our ties with the local community and future talent.

Recently, we participated in the All-Majors Career Fair at the University of Maine, where our team engaged with talented students and professionals, highlighting rewarding career opportunities in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of high-quality, safety-critical automotive components, including ball joints for steering and suspension systems.

We also had the privilege of hosting Somic Night at Alfond Arena, sponsoring the Maine Black Bears hockey game in an exciting rematch against UConn. We provided 50 tickets for our employees and their families, hosted a pre-game reception with refreshments, a speech from coach, and received a special on-ice acknowledgment. The evening fostered team camaraderie, enthusiasm, and lasting memories for all.

We are grateful for these meaningful opportunities to connect, support talent development, and celebrate community spirit. Go Black Bears!

Team Somic America participated in the 2026 New River Polar Plunge on February 14 at Dudley's Landing in Bisset Park, Radford, Virginia, joining hundreds of community members in support of Virginia Special Olympics.

Our team braved the cold waters of the New River to raise essential funds that enable over 23,000 athletes with disabilities to train, compete, and thrive year-round. Somic America covered entry fees for participating employees, making this a meaningful team building opportunity and a demonstration of our commitment to community impact. We extend our appreciation to the event organizers, first responders, and all who donated, volunteered, or participated alongside us.

Our Virginia crew hit the streets of Wytheville on Thanksgiving morning for the 2025 Open Door Café 5k Stuffed Strut!🦃

We ran to help end hunger, supporting the Open Door Café that serves hot meals every weekday to anyone in need. Big thanks to everyone who joined us again this year.
