SubieFest Midwest, you did not disappoint. 💙

Watching Bucky rip around the lot was worth the trip alone, but the real highlight was the sea of WRXs and BRZs as far as the eye could see. Every build told a different story, and the people behind them were just as good to talk to.

And the dogs. So many dogs. Every single one friendlier than the last (the Subaru stereotype is real and we love it). 🐕

This is probably the closest thing in car world to Goku vs. Vegeta 🐉

Two of the most widely loved and respected powerplants in all of car mythology, both with their strengths and weaknesses.

Though there is more than one version of the EJ207, the GDB generation of that engine is particularly desirable. Dare we say, the best Subaru has to offer?

Then, on the other side, an absolute force of nature that is the Evo IX 4G63.

Obviously, both engines and the vehicles they came in are iconic. What's not so obvious is which one of these powerplants is better, especially depending on who you ask.

So which side of the coin are you on?

Time for some big changes to our shop Evo X as we round out car season in our neck of the woods.

We used the car a ton for autocross and grip in it's first phase of life, and now it's time to return to drag racing.

Huge thanks to everyone who stopped by yesterday. Talking shop with so many Subaru enthusiasts and hearing the stories behind your builds was the highlight of our weekend. From clean OEM+ daily drivers to full-send track builds, the Subie community showed out in a big way. 💪

Getting back out there with all of you is what it’s all about. We wouldn’t trade it for anything.

From 10am to 4pm, Subiefest Midwest has a car show that's nothing but Subarus, the Flat Four Showdown autocross, a special feature on the 2026 Outback Wilderness, off road parking for the lifted builds, a huge vendor section, and a door prize drawing with thousands in giveaways 🏁
