Had a close call on 3/17. Our house nearly burned down when our detached “bonus room” caught fire while we were home eating dinner. I was charging some batteries out there and we think that’s what caused it… still not certain about that though. The fire jumped from the detached space to our house so it was close. The Wilmington Fire dept. got there just in time to save our house. I think one more minute and home would burnt down. We are all safe and sound. We have our home and we have each other so we are thankful. Keep us in your prayers!

Made it all the way to Ocracoke and back in our (far from perfect) 69 VW Bus “The coral cruiser”. We had zero mechanical issues and a ton of fun! These machines are amazing! With a little bit of prep work a 55 year old VW can be super capable and can easily get you where you wanna go, carry your stuff, give you a place to sleep and a place to relax! Smiles and waves greeted us along the way as we made our way up the coast! Only in a classic VW! If you need help getting your old VW back on the road I can help! I love the air cooled variety and my company exists to help people enjoy their classic VW again!
