The cost of the job will depend on what you need done and how far I have to travel. *I WILL NOT DO ANYTHING I DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE DOING!* I'm not going to pretend to be a top-notch mechanic. There are things I know how to do and things I don't know how to do. I always try to go by the book and not cut corners, so I'm not quite as fast as some places. Keep in mind I'm a traveling mechanic, so I
can't do anything that requires a lift, tire machine, engine tools/hoist, transmission tools/jacks, etc. I have a jack and a toolbox in my truck full of a ton of various different types of tools I've used for various different jobs. Here is what I'm most comfortable doing/services I can offer:
-Brakes (not so much drum brakes or the metal lines, however I do have the tube cutter and bending tool for the metal line)
-Battery/alternator/starter
-Tie rods
-Ball joints
-Shocks/struts (whole assembly, never taken apart and changed coil spring only)
-Tire plugging/change a flat
-MAF cleanup
-Sensors (including oxygen sensors)
-Wiring (depending on location)
-Diagnostics
-Tune-up (plugs, wires, coils, distributor cap and rotor button, air filter, and oil change, never messed with transmission)
-Fuel pump (also done fuel filter once so I could look and see before saying yes or no)
-Hub assemblies (not press-in bearings, I don't have the tools for that)
-I have done CV axles, but I would have to look at it before saying yes or no to the job
-Simple mods like interior trim painting, aftermarket headlight and taillight install, aftermarket light install and wiring, stereo install, taillight spray tint, and a few more, just ask and I'll let you know. Pick up some K&N products through our affiliate link:
