Had to do a stance check on this 14 Softail Breakout chopper. I stretched the frame up 12", out 3 1/2", 36 degree rake, changed to round backbone, and formed 5/16 round bar to shape the peaked frame legs. I made a poster board template for a custom fuel injected prism tank, and I took it to my friend Carr Concepts to see about forming the tank in 16 gauge cold rolled sheetmetal. He has all the nice sheetmetal equipment, and knocked out a tank shell for me in a quickness. He also formed the sheetmetal pieces for the peaked legs. Now I need to weld it all together, do a custom fuel filler cap, mount the custom fuel pump/pick-up inside it, and then make tank mounts to get it mounted on the frame. Also, Zach Noel at 20 by 20 Hotrods let me spend a few minutes with his sheetmetal brake so I could form the piece for the tag and taillight mount on the rear fender. I'll be making a custom fiberglass seat pan to fit and follow everything nice. On track for getting this one to the painter before long.

D&D Bobcat 2 into 1 exhaust, chrome with carbon fiber accents on muffler body. It's brand new, was installed and started engine. Sounds good, has a nice deep tone. Fits 84-17 softails, and has both 12mm and 18mm 02 sensor bungs, can be plugged if not needed. Could be adapted to other Evo and Twincam models with a custom rear mount. Bought for 1100, sell for 800. Located in Wichita KS.

Jeremy Rauch had a 2020 S, some parts, and a plan. He sent it all to me, and I put the plan in motion. This one got stretched up 8" and 32 degree rake, +8" 49mm tubes, racetech suspension, extended dampers, polished mid-glide dual disc frontend, polished brake rotors, 21" contrast cut wheel, stainless steel bars, etc. He's going to paint it and do a few more things when he gets it back home. This one will make a nice chop to eat those miles up.

Burning the candle at both ends working on customer jobs and getting my wife's 2016 Softail chopped. She wanted this one to go up 8", out 1.5", and 35 degree rake. The tank is converted to fuel injection, all fab work on the bike is done, and getting everything ready to go to paint.

This custom trike chopper is finished up and ready to go back home to Oklahoma. It had a list of issues to fix.

I repaired the broken frame, reinforced and gusseted it. The rear suspension was completely in a bind and not functioning due to the shocks mounted on a sideways plain against the swinging suspension pivot, and the top/bottom shock mounts were offset 1.5" perpendicular to the pivot plane. I cut all that mess out and remade mounts to work with the normal suspension pivot, and upgraded to nice adjustable coilover shocks, in conjunction with air bag helpers if needed. I made a structure mount to the rear frame section to support a new backrest bar at the rear of the passenger seat. I fixed a broken rear bumper mount, and tightened a lot of loose hardware. The handlebar mounted Dakota Digital gauge mount was broken, so my machinist made a new mount. The rear fiberglass body had several cracks and breaks, so it went to the painter for repair, then got repainted to match the tank, and everything resprayed in satin clear. It should ride much better with a working rear suspension now.

Some progress on the custom bike with the S&S 145 tribute motor. Healing from surgeries on both hands and still getting some work done in the shop has been a bit tough. I've been working on final assembly since I got everything back from powder coat, with some help from Halo. I'll have some custom machined parts and painted parts soon. I need to get a little more assembly done, then work on oil and brake lines, and a LOT of wiring for the many electrical components, ECM and fuel injection system this bike has.

This custom bike was all mocked up and then torn back apart, and now I finish welded everything. It's progressing along.

This custom bike is finally ready to take apart and finish weld a bunch of things, and get it ready to go to powder coat and paint. This one waited a long time for several things that were out of my control, and now it's getting progress made on it. It has a fuel injected 145" S&S Tribute motor. It will have a whole bunch of wiring, electrical components, ECM, etc to run and tidy up. There's a lot of work left to do on this one.

15 Softail Breakout I chopped a while back

CHOP THAT THANG! here you see a before and after photo of a Break-out that has gotten the treatment. I personally do not like stock fatbob thanks on a stretched up frame. This one however looks damn good.

In the States you see a lot of dynas and softails chopped in a simple way. Just a longer frontend and a stretched frame and the rest kept almost completely stock. Reason to mount the fat stock tank way up is to be able to also keep the stock wiring which makes chopping a bike less complicated I guess. But in my eyes the idea of chopping bike is to make it look cooler, tougher more personal, to show off your creativity. ....

Big Gabe is a craftsman who goes very creative with his own bikes. Having him do your frame is often a starting point. Correct me if I am wrong Gabr.
