This past week we hosted our 7th annual pull-up contest. The contest has been renamed to honor Chris Sarro, an outstanding lifeguard and person that left us too soon. The contest was hosted on the Main Beach pavilion with lifeguards, family and close friends. West Beach Lt. Pat McGrath won the contest for the 7th consecutive time with 45 pull-ups. Thank you to everyone that competed, Chris always loved some healthy competition!

Bobby Lambo, a Tobay legend passed one year ago. Started working in 1964, he was a great surfer, fisherman, lifeguard and family man. Beyond surfing and fishing, Bobby shared his interests and was the fun person to be with, motivated all of us in pottery, leather belts and crafts, surfboard fiberglass and dory repair. Bobby will always be remembered as the guy following the birds and chasing the bunker. He found many treasures diving off the Rhoda wreck. He will be truly missed.
