1/8th mile Test and Tune day at ESTA Drag Strip, I figured what better way to get some seat time and work on my launch.
I was very pleased with my progress today even though the car still spins quite a bit leaving but with each pass my ET was getting lower 9.393, 9.110, 8.923.

With the car season coming to a close in CNY, it's time to move inside. Today was the first in a series of R/C Car race events put on by Pemberton Raceworks at Accelerate Sport complex. Racers and Spectators are always welcome. The next event takes place in November

Today I went to ESTA Drag Strip to try my hand at drag racing the Camaro. This was my first time drag racing a manual car and didn't know what to expect. Due to the incoming weather they changed the format a bit...instead of 1/4 mile we ran 1/8 & instead of 3 time trails before eliminations started we were allowed 1 time trial. Needless to say it was a learning experience:
1st run I turned all traction control and satbilatrack options off.....and struggled to get traction through 2nd gear ran a 12.58 @77.88 mph

2nd run was I little better. I put the car in competitive mode and was able to get off the line pretty clean but when shifting from 1st to 2nd I didn't complete the shift which cost me some time but was still a better run at 9.55 @77.85mph

Things I need to work on is staying calm s**t you can here me sighing trying to relax....lol

Getting off the line more consistently

And cleaning up my reaction times

I truly believe the car is capable of running mid to low 8s in the 1/8 with more practice
