Ooph! Diagnosed a burned a valve on cylinder 1 and found some aftermath of a cracked spark plug electrode insulator on cylinder 5. Walls are in good shape though so we're waiting on some fresh pistons and rings, and the cylinder head to get rebuilt and it'll be back together in no time.

Swipe for the before and after ➡️

This low mileage V70R deserved something a little special underneath. An 3.5" downpipe mated to a TME Sweden cat-back exhaust always looks and sounds great, so we had it ceramic coated with before installation for long lasting performance and style. We also installed a intercooler and couplers.

What do we have here? Just a full birch interior on this one-owner, immaculate 200k mile '98 V70 AWD with an M58 and a 20T. Some may recognize this, and IYKYK. A cross country trip took place, and it's here for diagnosis of some odd engine behavior 🕵‍♂️

After much deliberation, we have come up with the plan for replacing this C30 cat-back exhaust, increasing the pipe diameter from 2.5" to 3".

This is the first cat-back I have fabricated from start to finish, and things are moving along slow and steady. The small angles are pie cuts, which were perfect for this application as the routing is anything but a straight shot. The front half is tacked and ready for some full passes (but I ran out of argon) and the rear section is coming along well too. We have a sneaky surprise as far as the muffler is concerned and we look forward to the final product 🤓.
