Well it finally happened. About 6-8 weeks ago, a loyal customer and neighbor asked HNM Auto Detailing to take care of a seemingly priceless family heirloom, a 1923 Buick Grand Touring Car.
I was a little overwhelmed at first as detailing a 103 year old vehicle seemed intimidating.
So myself and my friend who helped me had to do some research as to what detailing products would work and what would not.
There were a couple nail biting moments for me but we got it done! David Barbee was a huge help and encouragement in getting me to accept this vehicle.
According to the owner, there are nine vehicles left of this model in the world, and only five of them are restored/running/operating.
We were so pleased with the results of a vehicle that had been stored in a building where the cover had been removed. There were cat prints, raccoon prints, significant dust and dirt accumulation, dirt daubers nests, hundreds of stink bugs, and a lot of concerning grime.
But the end results were amazing and we even put a coat of carnuba wax on it to help protect it from the elements.
One last thing this prime looking fully restored and fully operational vehicle is for sale! $25,000 firm. If you are interested please contact me and I will put you in contact with the owner!
