We recently helped a customer dealing with a strong odor inside her vehicle common in rural areas due to rodents.
After inspection, we found a deceased rat lodged above the cabin air filter and a nest under the plastic cover near the ignition coil packs.
If you notice unusual smells, it’s best to get it checked early to avoid further damage.

To our Calaveras and Amador County community,

At AJ’s Automotive, we’ve always believed in giving back. Over time, we’ve had the opportunity to donate our labor, complete free repairs, offer flexible payment plans, and even provide a vehicle to someone in need.
We’re now considering launching a community driven fundraiser to expand these efforts helping individuals and families with essential vehicle repairs or even providing reliable transportation when possible.
Transparency is important to us. We would share updates along the way (with permission), introduce those we’re helping, and show exactly how funds are being used. Any remaining funds would roll forward to assist the next person in need. The only costs we would cover through fundraising would be parts, fuel, and necessary supplies our labor will continue to be donated whenever possible.
We would truly appreciate your feedback. Is this something you would support? If there are individuals or businesses who would like to get involved, we would love to connect.
Please keep this post positive we understand there may be questions, but our goal is simply to help our community in a meaningful way.
Thank you in advance for your support and input.
