This FZJ80 got a big power boost with a Cruisers and Company turbo kit.
We also built a full 3” stainless exhaust which makes for a nice reduction in spool time and backpresssure.
We only use 304 stainless steel from top USA vendors like Vibrant Performance for our exhausts and mufflers, and OEM Toyota exhaust isolators for mounting.

This Australian FZJ105 came in for some suspension work after we noticed both radius arms were bent during one of our pre-work inspections.

We replaced the arms with fresh OEM bushings as well as the shocks with a set of Dobinson’s IMS. While in there one of the guys noticed the panhard bracket was starting to crack so that was welded up as well.

This one-owner 2013 FJ Cruiser recently came through the shop with the somewhat common throwout bearing failure. The pressure plate was also damaged, and the clutch disc had measurable wear, so we installed a new genuine clutch kit, as well as updated clutch fork and release cylinder. Back to smooth shifting!

This Ecuadorian 3F-powered FJ75 came in with some carburetor issues ultimately requiring a complete replacement. Fortunately Toyota still manufactures new replacement carburetors for the 2F, 3F and 1FZ engines!

Once we had it running properly again, we gave the rest of the truck a thorough inspection and found quite a bit of deferred maintenance that needed attention.

We fully expect imported Land Cruisers to need a substantial amount of parts and labor, so we like to plan these projects well in advance rather than surprise owners with a massive repair bill.

Together with the owner, we mapped out a future mechanical refresh from front to back, along with replacing most of the weather stripping, overhauling the wiper system, and installing a complete new set of locks and keys.

By planning the work ahead of time, the owner knows exactly what to expect, and when the truck comes back to the shop, we can hit the ground running with a complete parts list and a clear plan of attack—getting the work done efficiently and minimizing the time the truck spends in the shop.

This Freeborn Red FJ62 with a broken automatic transmission was shipped to us all the way from New York for some spa time 💅

The main project was a H55f manual transmission conversion, with a brand new transfer case loaded with SUMO 10% overdrive gears, our favorite combo in a FJ62.
We make every fabrication part needed for this conversion, such as plug-in wiring, reproduction pedals and bracket, pre-made clutch hydraulic tube, blockoff-plate for the floor, and as well as all the new Toyota hardware for a proper job.

While it was here we also installed one of our stainless steel exhaust kits, rebuilt the front knuckles, brakes, and steering, and took care of some worn out engine bay parts like the main intake hoses and idler pulleys.

To finish it off we replaced a plethora of parts with new OEM, such as the dashboard, all the door handles, window regulators and glass runs, and some new chrome mirrors. We finished off with a set of Holley Performance Retrobright headlights, the nicest LED headlight option on the market.

This project shows our dedication to the FJ62 platform (Matt’s first and favorite Cruiser model!), showcasing many of our reproduction and H55f swap parts, as well as many of the still available OEM parts that we keep in stock at all times to help you keep your own FJ62 on the road for as long as possible.

A new customer came to us looking for an FJ40 with a very specific list of requirements—and a firm budget to stay within.

After several mobile inspections, we found the right candidate. It needed some work to bring it back from years of neglect and deferred maintenance, but because we were able to accurately assess the truck and fully quote the necessary repairs and upgrades up front, we knew the total investment—including the purchase price—would stay within his budget.

We do enough of these to know what we’re looking at, and that experience allows us to quote the work accurately and take a lot of the uncertainty out of buying an old Land Cruiser.

As for the FJ40 we chose - this 1980 model looked great and had some nice upgrades already like AC, Power steering, and an H55f 5-speed transmission, but it needed pretty much every system gone through to bring it back to it’s prime.

We replaced the Weber carburetor (can’t stand those!) with one of our new OEM world-spec units, ditched the HEI distributor for a proper 81-87 big-cap electric unit, and fully rebuilt the steering and front brakes. The 40 had no E-brake! We tossed the Monte Carlo rear discs (too large for proper brake bias on a 40) in favor of our Toyota drum brake upgrade package with integrated e-brake, along with a new later master cylinder and FJ80 brake booster upgrade.
We also installed our very own steel caster shims, new Bilstein 5125 shocks, and a fresh set of our favorite Kenda 33x9.5 tires.
To finish it off we replaced the entire set of lock cylinders and ignition cylinder along with matching new key with the still-available 79-84 lock cylinder set.

This FJ62 was in great shape cosmetically but had a whole host of overdue maintenance. The exhaust leaked, the cooling system was mostly original, the brakes were weak, front axle leaked, and many other original hoses and bushings. The owner loves quite some distance from our facility so he opted to have us to handle everything all in one trip.

The team completely overhauled the cooling system, rebuilt the knuckles and brake system with all new parts, replaced spring bushings, installed longer sway bar links and our very own caster shims to correct for his lift, repaired his AC, installed one of our FJ62 stainless steel exhaust kits, and finally a whole hose of exterior trim parts like all new door handles, hood latch and cable, 4runner wiper arm upgrade, and new taillight lenses.
We also keep all of these parts in stock for sale to the public, so if your FJ62 needs the same treatment, feel free to free to reach out!

This really clean FJ80 came in with way too tall of a lift with no geometry corrections, and worn out 35” tires with a 2” wheel spacers.
We replaced the lift with an Icon 3” Stage 3 setup, with proper caster correction, PCK, and sway bar extensions. We also replaced all the suspension bushings with new OEM.
While it was here the owner opted to have us upgrade his front brakes and master cylinder to the larger 93-97 setup and replace his tires with new 285’s.
Now it drives like a new truck!
