This post addresses a Schedule Change and early Tire Sales for the The Roto-Rooter 50 Sprint Cars Kickin Asphalt event taking place next weekend. Track management will open the tire barn from 6pm to 7pm TODAY, Sunday, for early tire sales. Please DM or comment below if you are interested in getting tires today.
Houston Motorsports Park will be closed on the July 4th holiday (Friday), and as a result, there will not be a Friday practice.
To accommodate this change, Houston Motorsports Park’s management will open the pit gates early on Saturday, at 12.30pm instead of 2pm. With a busy schedule of car classes on Race Day, we have adjusted the Saturday practice schedule to offer race teams as much track time as possible, with the Sprints having three sessions and relaxing the time between sessions for all other classes. This busier practice schedule does not leave room for two drivers’ meetings, so a printed hand-out will be given to race teams at registration. This hand-out will state the basic policies and procedures for the day.
Lastly, we are working diligently to secure the services of a mobile tire-mounting group, so PLEASE help us with any mobile tire-mounting service you may be aware of - DM or add to comments below and we will follow up with them.
