alongside a 1958 Edsel Roundup at her Maine residence, Skylands, a ’20s masterwork designed by architect Duncan Candler for the car’s namesake, Edsel Ford, and his wife, Eleanor.

Martha Stewart with her 1958 Edsel Roundup two-door station wagon. 1958 would be the first year of the Edsel, and it would be gone in 1960. Ford had high hopes for the car, but customers didn't buy it. The Edsel failure cost Ford $250 million. Stewart loves her Edsel and drives it regularly. It is kept at her home in Maine, called Skylands. The Edsel was a gift from her daughter, originally intended to be a joke. "But I love it," says Stewart. "We drive it to town, and I wonder why people are looking at me. It's a great car with a push-button transmission, well before its time." The former owner of Stewart's Skylands estate was none other than Edsel Ford himself. Stewart has also appeared on an episode of "Jay Leno's Garage" with her Edsel.
