It is the brainchild of John who has a long history in the custom car scene. His projects go way back to the Mini Truckin' days of the 90's, the Import Tuner scene of the early 2000's and all kinds of other cool rides in between. The idea for Maniacs Garage started with our Instagram page in 2005. As the page grew to over 300K followers we realized that it was time to build our own project car. Th

rough a series of circumstances we ended up with a 1949 Ford Shoebox that we will body swap to a BMW E92 335i. The car will be on display at the 2020 SEMA Show in the MKW/ Hostile Wheels booth and will feature product partners such as: Toyo Tires, Garrett Motion, Doc Race, Optima Batteries and many more! We made it back guys! Thank you to all of you who supported us along the way and for all who were praying for us. I honestly believe that God's hand was on this trip because there should have been no way that a car with no shock absorber dampening should have been driven across the country and made it safely. I would probably never do that again in my life. Nevertheless, we're home. We're safe and the journey's going to keep going on this car.

Turbo issues....
Anytime the weather gets hot, currently. 91° in West Texas, and we hit a slight grade. The car starts losing power and it just doesn't want to go any faster. In fact it starts decreasing in speed, until we Crest the hill and we start going downhill. Downhill it just doesn't want to go. I know it has to do with the turbo. I'm just not exactly sure what it is. If you guys have any ideas drop us a comment.

I built this car 23 years ago and it originally had a set of Yokohama Tires on it. The car exchanged a few hands before I found it and bought it back.
With only 12,000 miles on the odometer but way too many years on the old Yokohama's a new set was mounted to tackle the nearly 2500 miles drive from Florida to Arizona.
The new Yokohama Tire are feeling so good, not to mention the peace of mind of having new tires for this road trip.
