When hail hit our area, P&T Garage on Route 6 in Terryville was the only local repair shop that made sure their hail repairs were handled by a local dent repair company.

Every other repair shops chose an out-of-state company that aren't invested in our area or our community.

P&T chose local, and we support that.

If you need automotive paint and body repair work, My Dent Shop recommends P&T Garage. Support the businesses that support local businesses. 👍

After working with dozens of insurance companies following the July 4th Bristol hailstorm, one thing has become very clear:

My Dent Shop LLC does not recommend Progressive or Allstate.

Based on our experience during this storm, these two companies have consistently created more delays and more frustration for our customers than any others we've dealt with.

We've seen unnecessary roadblocks, repeated attempts to steer customers toward preferred repair facilities, and misinformation about what Connecticut law allows regarding where you can have your vehicle repaired. Connecticut law gives YOU the right to choose your repair shop—not your insurance company.

If you currently have one of these insurers, it may be worth shopping around. A slightly lower premium isn't much of a bargain if the claims process becomes stressful when you actually need your insurance.

I've spent nearly 20 years in the collision repair industry, and now as the owner of My Dent Shop LLC, I've seen this pattern play out time and time again. The best insurance policy isn't always the cheapest one—it's the one that stands behind you when it's time to use it.

If you've been affected by the July hailstorm and you're having trouble with your insurance company, feel free to reach out. We'll do everything we can to help guide you through the process and make sure your vehicle is repaired the right way.

Insurance companies often rush an initial check after hail — but that first check rarely covers full repair costs. In our latest blog, we explain why the estimate comes so fast, what it typically includes, and how to get the full repairs your car needs. Read more: https://wix.to/HzzHL0z

After a hailstorm, one of the first things many customers tell me is:"The insurance company already sent me a check. I guess that's all it costs to fix my hail damaged car?"Unfortunately, that's almost never how hail repair works. The First Check Is Just a Hail Starting PointInsurance companies want....

When a hailstorm hits, so do the storm chasers.

Before you hand over your keys, ask one simple question:

"Are you local?" 🤔

My Dent Shop LLC is based right here in Terryville. We were here before the storm, we're here during the storm, and we'll still be here long after the last hail claim is closed.

That matters.✔️

If you ever need warranty support or have a question after your repair, you know exactly where to find us. You're not chasing down a company that's already moved on to the next storm.

Our reputation wasn't built in a week—it was built one customer at a time. Just take a look at our Google reviews and you'll see how seriously we take quality, honesty, and customer service.

Don't choose a company just because they showed up after the storm. 👀

Choose a company that's part of your community.
