2009 Maine Event. The first LTA event. In a fuzzy cell phone photo that I took in the staging lanes we see Team Tiger Racing's number 3135 Suzuki Hayabusa with owner / rider Guy Caputo. He was a pioneer in nitrous oxide on Hayabusas. At this Inaugural event Guy was the 5th person to get into the LTA 200 mph club with a record run of 223.602 mph in class APS/F-1650 ( Altered Partial Streamline / Fuel - 1650 cc). He also designed the very efficient land speed front fender that is used by a lot of LSRacers. JD photo.

🫣 Mother Nature unfortunately conquered the Man Cup World Finals this weekend. With numerous weather related delays and an abundance of oil downs, the Man Cup has cancelled their event this evening.

First round of Pros were completed today and those racers will split their purse. Sportsman racers unfortunately never started their eliminations and were refunded a portion of their entry fees.
