Do you own a 2017-2025 duramax? Did you know that with the stock oil pan you can’t drain all the oil during an oil change?
We just did a Banks upgraded oil pan on this customers 2021 duramax. We drained the oil before removing the stock oil pan and it retained almost a full quart of oil. With the upgraded banks pan you get upgraded oil cooling, larger oil capacity and all the oil drains during an oil change.

Too all those who have been waiting! The engine is in hooked up and ready for its first start.

We ran it for a short time and will be doing our final assembly today and if all goes to plan driving it out of the shop tomorrow.

Welp yesterday the engine the engine found its new forever home.

Something that’s really neat about this project is this motor is for a 2025 model truck. The truck its going in is a 2018. Ford made some notable upgrades on the inside of this motor since 2018. So this customer will have the all the benefits of a new 2025 in there truck.

Today we hook up the rest of the components and hope to hear it run by the end of the day.

Progress is being made on the transplant. Yesterday we got all the parts transferred from the old engine to the new engine. Today the engine will find its new home in the frame rails of the truck.
