🎉 Happy Birthday, Lake Somerville! 🎉

Did you know that yesterday marked Lake Somerville’s birthday? On this day in 1964, construction officially began on what would become one of Central Texas’ favorite outdoor destinations.

Today, Lake Somerville provides endless opportunities for boating, fishing, water sports, camping, and simply relaxing by the water. We are grateful to call this beautiful lake home and to share it with so many wonderful visitors each year!

Here’s to many more years of adventure, relaxation, and fun on Lake Somerville at Big Creek!

Come hang out with us before the hustle and bustle of a new school year begins and enjoy some wonderful entertainment! If you're looking for a good time, these two are it! They always put on a fantastic show and know how to keep the crowd entertained from start to finish!

☀️ It’s a beautiful Wednesday here at Big Creek, and our cabins are looking fabulous! They are currently awaiting final approval from the Corps before they can be rented. While we wait, we’ve been busy putting the finishing touches on the inside, and we wanted to give you a sneak peek of what’s coming!

To accommodate everyone from those who want to show up with nothing more than a swimsuit and a toothbrush to those looking for a more budget-friendly family getaway, we’ve decided to offer two cabin options. Half of our cabins will come fully stocked with the essentials, while the other half will be our “bring your own supplies” option.

We have a waitlist started for anyone interested in reserving a cabin once they become available. If you’d like to be added, please give our office a call at 979-596-1616.
