First stop this morning was in Princeton for some tail lights.
Moving out to the outskirts of Princeton….it was a 2 for one lol
They had a VW that has an ignition issue. After looking it, I believe they have something broken inside the ignition. Maybe a tumbler?
Also took a look at their other vehicle while I was there. He was doing the work himself but had some questions.

Haven’t posted in a while! It’s been pretty busy.
Came out to help a customer with his brakes over by the JoCo airport. He changed his brake pads out himself but called saying there was air in the lines & needing them bled. Discovered he was almost out of brake fluid for one thing so got that filled back up & bled the lines for him. But when changing his pads, he damaged his calipers & now they need to be replaced. He’s ordering them & I will go back once he gets them.
This morning I was in Four Oaks & did brake pads & rotors on a Dodge 1500

This military veteran was traveling to Florida & had car troubles. He broke down in Kenly, googled shops & was able to contact a shop in Princeton. The owner told him to have his car towed to him & he would fix it today. After getting his car there…he said the owner began to back peddle & said he would do it on Monday. This man was traveling a long way from home….is on a fixed income & a long ways from any motel.
He called us. We figured out where his car was & off we went. The owner of the shop had locked up & left…with this man & his car still there. And it was HOTT!
We were able to determine it was his alternator & got him running enough to get off the shop property & down to another spot so we could get to work. Got the old one out…ran to Oreillys & got the new one, came back & got it put in.
While we worked, he talked about some of his struggles. Everyone you meet is struggling in some way. He had faced homelessness & was obviously dealing with some depression. As he drove off to continue his trip to try to start fresh….i said a little prayer for his safety & well being.
Be kind. You never know what someone is battling.

Just finished in Wilson Mills. Changed out a purge valve & canister vent valve in this Honda.

Started the morning out replacing a water pump on a Buick in Smithfield. After that I went to Goldsboro to look at a Nissan Versa. I did a pressure test to check for a radiator leak. Customer wanted to wait until this afternoon to change that.
Went back to Smithfield & changed an alternator on a Toyota Avalon.
Then to Princeton to replace the radiator on the Avalon since that customer was now home. Busy day!
