201 Speedway Update
201 Speedway will not be racing this weekend as it is a scheduled weekend off for the track.
We look forward to seeing everyone back at the speedway on November 7th, when our next racing event is currently scheduled to take place. Additional information regarding the event, including divisions, race details, and any special announcements, will be released as track management makes those details available.

Doctor's Excuse for 201 Speedway Practice

To Whom It May Concern,
Please excuse __________________ from all normal responsibilities on October 14th, as they were required to attend a medically necessary session at 201 Speedway Practice.

After a thorough examination, I diagnosed the patient with:
•Acute Racing Withdrawal Syndrome (ARWS)
•Chronic Need for Horsepower Exposure
•Severe Dirt Track Deficiency
•Excessive Bench Racing Without Actual Track Time
Failure to attend practice could have resulted in increased symptoms including excessive YouTube race watching, random engine noises, and uncontrollable discussions about tire compounds and track conditions.

The prescribed treatment was:
1.Immediate attendance at 201 Speedway practice.
2.Exposure to race cars and flying dirt.
3.Frequent monitoring of lap times.
4.At least one post-practice discussion beginning with "If I'd just moved up a groove..."

The patient was released in stable condition, although slightly dirtier and significantly happier than before treatment.

🚨IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM 201 SPEEDWAY🚨

🏁OCTOBER 10TH RACE RESCHEDULED TO NOVEMBER 7TH🏁

After carefully monitoring the weather forecasts for our region, 201 Speedway management has made the difficult decision to postpone the October 10th racing event until November 7th.

This decision was made out of an abundance of caution due to the significant rainfall being forecasted for race day. Track management has been closely monitoring weather reports from both the Lexington and West Virginia forecast stations, and all indications show that our area is expected to receive a considerable amount of rain around race time.

Our biggest priority is the safety and experience of our fans, teams, and drivers. We do not want the loyal members of the 201 Nation to make the trip to the speedway with a strong possibility of not being able to complete the full racing program. With the forecast showing a very high chance of unfavorable conditions, management feels postponing the event is the best decision for everyone involved.

With that in mind, the October 10th event will now be held on November 7th.
With several special events scheduled over the next few weeks in the region, the next best available date for 201 Speedway season finale is November 7th, November 7th will serve as the Season Finale at 201 Speedway, and we are looking forward to closing out the year with a great night of racing.

Additional details regarding the November 7th Season Finale will be announced as the date draws closer.

201 Nation, do you remember the story of Jason Myers?

The loyal fan turned racer who finally found himself on the verge of his first victory, only to have it taken away by a controversial call. Furious with the decision, Jason cursed the speedway before leaving that night. Tragically, he never made it home, and after his passing, his ashes were spread around the speedway he loved so much.

For years, fans have blamed strange race night chaos on the Curse of Jason Myers. Mysterious cautions, equipment failures, heated arguments, controversial finishes, and unexpected disasters have all become part of the legend.

But in 2026, the curse seems stronger than ever.

Drivers suddenly forget years of racing experience and make baffling mistakes. Crew members find themselves making decisions they can't explain. Fans hear whispers from empty grandstands moments before cautions fly. Tempers flare for no reason, equipment stops working at the worst possible times, and controversy seems to follow every big race.

Some say Jason is still searching for the win he never got.

Some say he has learned how to possess drivers, crew members, fans, and even the speedway equipment itself.

And some say that if you listen closely on a quiet race night, you can still hear him whisper...

Announcement Regarding the Combination of Crate Late Models & Super Late Models

I wanted to take a moment to explain the decision to combine the Crate Late Models and Super Late Models for this weekend's event.

As this is the final scheduled race of the season, our goal was to include all of our divisions while still providing fans and teams with a full evening of racing and special activities. With the additional events planned, including the Meet & Greet, Trick-or-Treat, Costume Contest, and several other family-focused activities, we felt it was important to make the most of the evening for our fans and their families.

With cooler fall temperatures arriving and this event being centered around family fun, we believed combining the two divisions was the best decision for the overall experience of the 201 Nation. This allows us to keep the program moving efficiently while giving everyone more time to enjoy the special activities planned throughout the night.

We also want to make it clear that this is a one-time situation and is not something that will become the norm moving forward. This decision was made strictly for this particular event and for the betterment of our racers, fans, and the entire 201 Speedway community.

An added benefit is that this format provides a much stronger overall payout opportunity for the Crate Late Model competitors. By running alongside the Super Late Models, teams will be racing for a purse that is significantly better than what would typically be available if the divisions were separated for this weekend's program.

We appreciate everyone's understanding and support as we work to make this season-ending event a memorable experience for our racers, fans, and families. We look forward to celebrating a great season together this weekend.
