Our time in the Yellowstone area has come to an end. Bushy is hooked up and were headed to Pocatella to meet up with an owner to setup their camper for the annex room mod before we continue on to the Boise area for the night.
We saw so many beautiful sights and can't wait to return in 2 years for some dispersed camping in the mountains now that we got a chance to check out areas.
I finally got to fish, or atleast try, crazy winds! Did not catch any fish but up close and personal with a cow moose!

Teardrop Adventure 2026 Day 9
Who knew it rained this much in Yellowstone? It stormed hard again about midnight then again at 4 am. I sit out my outside temp sensor when we camp, wish I had set out a rain gauge!
The ARB awning with our RRED system and our modified shower roof have been doing awesome. We don't have time to babysit the camper when we camp in places like this, we set up and forget. Both have been up for 6 days staright now with zero issue. The area got pummeled with rain Sunday after we left and we were all good when we got back. We have not set up our annex room just because we haven't been at the camper but to sleep. One less thing to worry about with all the critters.
Yesterday morning if you would have asked me I would have ever come back to this area I would have said no. Its very pretty and so many neat things to see but between all the people and the insane fees, I was over it. Then we went exlporing yesterday and found some beautiful boondocking sites away from everyone along a stream. We toured them all and picked out our favorites. We will return in 2028 and disappear down one of those roads for a week.
This is our last day in the Yellowstone area. We have breakfast reservations at a fishing lodge cafe just east of us. They are known for their breakfast and I can't wait!

Scotty is on the divide! It may seem silly to take pics of Scotty but he is a huge part of what allows us to take these 2 month long trips. Not only am I working on this trip and doing mods on location, the work Scotty and I do together gives us this freedom to get out and see this beautiful country and meet up with owners. He is truly part of our family.

Teardrop Adventure Day 8. Woke up to rain which was fine as after 20 plus miles of hiking and very early mornings in the last 3 days we were ready for a break. Slept in and listened to the rain. Made coffee, then got my morning exercise stripping the sheets off the bed. If you have made a bed in a tiny camper you understand. Headed into West Yellowstone for laundry and showers. Never thought I would miss our camper shower but I do. This was 5 bucks for 5 mins and the stall was so small I pulled a muscle in my back trying to get my socks off. I felt like the katate kid standing on one foot trying to balance and get my clothes back on! At least in the camper we have much more room to maneuver. I felt so wasteful waiting on the water timer to end as I was done in less than a minute but it ran for five.
Getting lunch and a fishing license then heading back to fish on Earthquake lake. Its hard for me to slow down when we go on trips as I hate to waste a minute. Its already 11:30 and I feel like we have wasted half the day, ugh...

Day 7 Getting up at 3:30 wasn't any fun but to get to see the Montana night sky awash in moonlight was amazing. The first pics are from our campsite. We stopped along the way to take some night pics of the gysers in the distance in the dark. It was like cloudy daylight it was so bright. To be in the mountains as the sun rises up and is worth it. To see the mountain tops glowing with the suns first warming rays of light is something to see, glad we finally got to experience it.
