Had another productive day yesterday. Got a bunch of stuff out of the truck. Cleaned up a little bit. Then dry fit the to the engine with the index plate. Did some runout checks. A touch out of spec, so offset dowels ordered last night. Now I need a new todo list for the short term 🤔

1st days work in the books. Got the old transmission out, all solo. Took 2 days last time. Turned my brain off this time. Just do, don’t think.

Wow, what a weekend!!! Placed 2nd in the truck class in the King of the Desert shootout during the Scottsdale season finale. I was a bit off my game Friday and still some this morning. Shook out the bugs from the driver and woke up when it counted, during the final round. Competition was fierce and so close that hitting a single cone cost you the round. But as usual, hanging out with the autocross fam is where it’s at. Good times!

Tucked away in a garage in Scottsdale, AZ. Truck is pretty much ready for Scottsdale this weekend. Could use a wash, maybe. Just gonna get dirty on the autocross. 🙂

A little … loaded up and ready to head to Scottsdale. Oh, and as always lately, needed a last minute fix. One of the striker plates on a trailer door had broken. Pulled out the welder and did a quick repair and tossed some black epoxy in a rattle can to cover up the bare metal after welding prep. 5 minute fix that took an hour 🙂

Anyone else have the “disease”? I know the coils are “all the same”, but I’m still going to put them back exactly where they came from because the engine was running perfectly and I ain’t changing nothing!

Repairs complete. Replaced the broken band (see the 2nd pic) with a band. Got the new band in this morning and checked the servo and the checks I did were in spec. Redid the case cooling fittings as one was leaking. So some cleanup to do before re-install.
