After sleeping dormant for many years, the mighty RG500's turn has bubbled to the top of my list, and it was brought out of the cozy dark barn and into the sunlight once again! With two boys of my own now grown, a divorce behind me, all the regular distractions that life, family, friends, work, rental properties, and a working rock band bring, and with 42 motorcycles in my collection(!), I have a constant stream of restorations and "currently running bikes" to maintain and keep running (!), while the King of my collection slept peacefully for more than 20 years!!! Today was the day I rolled it onto the "Operating Table" in my shop and the journey of its awakening has begun! Stay Tuned!!!

Hello all - I found the problem with RG-50 not running right: it was an over-heated connector going to the CDI Unit. I clipped it off and installed new male and female bullet connectors on the faulty line and it runs great once again! Woo-Who!!! Sadly, it has been rainy and soggy here in San Diego these past few weeks and with temps in the upper 40's low 50's F (I know this is not nearly as cold as some of you - but too cold for my old bones!) I have not been riding lately. I recently got a GoPro so I hope to post some movies riding the RG-50 soon... stay tuned! Cheers! Happy Holidays to all!

Hey does anyone know about this bike? It is an RG-150 as can be seen by the "standard front forks" (not upside-down forks like the RG-125 has). It was for sale a few years ago in the San Francisco area... anyone know who bought it or if it sold? It giving me a good idea for a paint scheme for my RG150! Hmmm... Well, not anytime soon - too many other RG projects to get to first!

Found a set of lower fairings for the RG-150 - in the correct colors! They need a bit of work though...
