Here are some more shots of the KZ Twin I just finished restoring. It was a different experience bringing a bike back to it’s original state, when all I usually do is take bikes as far away from their original state as possible. These twin’s don’t have nearly the broad fanbase as the inline fours, but I’ve been really impressed with how torquey and fun it is to ride.

Last summer, I went down a vintage Japanese bike rabbit hole, and still haven’t made it out. These bikes are so cool. Compared to the old Harleys I’m used to, they’re like riding a modern bike, while still retaining that vintage flair. I picked up this Kawasaki SR650 for cheap on fb marketplace with 7k miles. After replacing some fuel lines and a clutch cable, it has been a smooth and reliable runner. A couple thousand miles later, it is running strong and one of my favorite bikes.

Today we said goodbye to the best little girl, Coe. She’s been in our lives since 2010, and has been the sweetest loving puppy dog. She traveled everywhere with us. She liked car rides, boat rides, and splashing around at the lake. She slept with us every night until her legs started to give out. She came running to greet us every time we walked through the door until her eyes and ears started to fail her. She always let Lulu climb all over her, and during Lu’s naps, Coe laid down right outside her door, keeping guard. She was and always be our first child. She’s gone now, but she’s not hurting anymore. She was the perfect little girl.

The circuit breaker keeper has been relocated to the top of the battery and now works with almost any 4L-BS series battery on the market.

The site has also been updated with links to a lead acid, unsealed “wet” or AGM battery.

HCC batt boxes feature an integrated circuit breaker mount in the top strap, as well as an adapter plate for mounting in an OEM horseshoe oil tank(OEM battery trays have an indention that is smaller than the battery compartment itself).

We also offer Battery Boxes for a range of models and sizes, as well as custom applications on request. DM for inquiries.
