October 6 2020 was our last race of the 2020 season and Ryan McDonnell was fortunate enough to turn on the electricity in his lane in the final against Don Beard. One of the perks that comes with winning one of your events is a bounty is put on you at the next race. So like ive done after every one of our races i post a wright up congratulating the winner and runner-up and the #1 qualifier and i make up a flyer with the bounty on the winner. Ive had Ryans bounty flyer made for months and my inability to secure funding for the bounty i never posted it. My apologies to Ryan i feel like he got screwed out of some ink . At the drivers meeting last saturday i explained my dilemma and David Bills reached in his pocket and handed me $100. to fund Ryans bounty. Since i hadnt been able to post the flyer in advance of the race i told David that i would use the money to fund the winner of saturday's race. Which was Ely Aguilar. My point of this is that we race with some very honorable people. Ive been involved with drag racing since the late 60s and ive never seen such a willing to help and generosity displayed by guys that race in our group. Without the help from racers like Dennis Smith Tim Philpot Roy Fischer Gary Kirby Ely Aguilar we wouldnt be able to have a series. I am forever grateful for your support. Here is the bounty for saturdays winner . FYI if no body beats Ely on July 3 2021 then he gets the $100.. Good luck and ill see you at the races. CLICK on the pic to enlarge it.

ATTENTION in the Pits... Over the last months ive received several phone calls from Top Sportsman racers explaining to me how they would love to come race with us but they cant slow down there cars enough. I know for a fact that some of these guys run in the mid 4,20s. Since i started the series in San Antonio we have always had a good turn out. I know of at least 3 racers that havent raced with us this year because their cars are just to fast. And when you consider the cost of their motors i wouldnt want to spend that kind of money and have to slow it down that much. So if you attended the drivers meeting last saturday i explained my concerns with the future of the Outlaw Top Sportsman program here in San Antonio. I decided to take a poll from the racers that were there to see where they stand. The questionnaire was broke down to 3 questions. #1 would you like the series to stay with the 4.90 index #2 would you like to change to a 4.99 and quicker 1/8 mile Top Sportsman format. # 3 doesnt matter either way. After tabulating all the votes there was an overwhelming majority for changing the series to a 4.99 and quicker Top sportsman format. Since its my goal to make the program grow and increase car count which would put more money in the purse ive decided to go forward with this approach. So starting with the next race which is on July 3 2021 we will be a 4.99 and qiucker 1/8 mile series. Pass the word and lets try to bring in some new racers to our program.
