No EJ vs FA discrimination here.. While specializing in Subaru & STI, I personally have a soft spot for Honda engines (K20,K24A2,F20C/F22C & B-series) and Mazda's twin turbo 13B-REW wankel rotary engine as those are

the engines that I grew up tuning. The core EFI tuning principles & strategies can be applied to all gasoline engines. Tuners specialize in certain platforms for various reasons, but it allows them to become more proficient with the particular tuning software, idiosyncrasies in the interaction/logic between the base tables, compensations & feedback loops used by the ECU logic, physical hardware limitations (engine components, fueling, drivetrain, etc.), knock threshold of the platform, etc. These are all things that any good tuner can learn, it may just take them a bit longer to tune the car, but the final results should be very similar. Tuning isn't black magic or some secret art form, it's SCIENCE and a bit of math.
