We perform a courtesy, comprehensive transmission diagnostic as part of our services. Expect to leave your vehicle for a full day for the diagnostic. Our prices are competitive and often substantially less expensive than the dealers and come with a 12 month/12,000 mile limited warranty.
With an inhouse builder we are afforded the ability to build your transmission right in the shop. We also carry a stock of rebuilt transmissions for exchange built by the shop builder. See below for details.

- Ford 4R70W/4R75E/4R75W - 1998 - 2008
(Common in Ford, Mercury, Lincoln - Expedition, F-150, Crown Victoria, Lincoln Town Car, Mercury Marquis)
- Chrysler 45RFE/5-45RFE - 1999 - 2011
(common in Ram 1500, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge Dakota, Dodge Durango with V8 engine)
- Ford DPS6 - (found in the Ford Focus/Fiesta) Dual Clutch Automatically Shifted Manual Transmission - This isn't an exchange transmission. For this transmission - this is for the Dual Clutch kit, actuators, forks, and possibly TCM (if needed). I do have parts readily available with limited stock. This transmission isn't known to fail mechanically, (although in rare circumstances it could be bad too) it is known for early clutch failure, actuators and forks. TCM is questionable and commonly replaced. Programming will be required if TCM needs to be exchanged.
* For Exchange Transmissions: Price includes the exchange rebuilt transmission, reman torque converter, ATF fluid, R&R, and cooler flush.
* These transmissions are not for individual purchase.

Howdy folks. Just an update on the shop hours for Thanksgiving holiday.

- We will be closed Thanksgiving (Thursday)
- Friday 11/24 - we plan to be open all day. Friday after thanksgiving are typically known to be slow to a point being open may not be worth it for the full day. We may close around 12PM if tradition continues. We plan to be open for business so Please feel free to drop by.

We do general repair too - oil changes, most accessory repairs (alternator, radiators, suspension, etc). For transmission services - filters and gaskets may be hard to obtain with most suppliers being closed on Friday, but we do carry a stock on some common transmissions (typically Ford/Chevy/Chrysler - but not all transmission flavors). Whether we can do a service will be determined by vehicle and a case by case basis. We can diagnose your transmission but any rebuilds will take place starting Monday but we will be able to do R&R. The phones will be open Friday so please feel free to give us a call and we'll advise you of what we can do for you.

This is an example of a contaminated transmission with a mechanical failure that we would call for a transmission to be rebuilt.

If you look in the pan you'll see metal chunks which suggest a gear train failure. This also shows friction material contamination which flows through the transmission and can come from components such as a torque converter failure and/or but not limited to the actual clutches inside the transmission. While all this looks minor, these small particles can and will plug up small fluid ports in different lubrication points for your clutches causing premature wear and ultimately will cause your transmission to slip, stop moving entirely, or cause it to drive absolutely terrible if it doesn't cause it to stop moving entirely. This transmission ended up being rebuilt and it did have a gear train failure.
