Had a great time last Saturday as a Trail Guide for the Midwest Krawlers Sunflower Trail Ride at Kansas Rocks Recreation Park ( KRRP ). The day started out beautiful and our group headed out to the Takanoah's Hill area to play around. Was spotting a couple rigs down Pinball when the rain started, and then things got interesting! Headed over to the Rocky Ridge area and TJ popped a bead. Kudos to the group for helping to get him out of the ravine he slid into and getting the tire changed. Decided at that point to head up to the front to get some lunch but they wanted to go back out afterwards, thankfully the rain let up shortly after heading down to do the Badge trails. Rattlesnake was going pretty well so I headed the group up C2, kind of forgetting that it was a black and the group was supposed to be just blues, but they persevered and we got through it, proud of them all! They wanted to keep going so we headed to the barn for the obligatory barn pic, then headed out on the East Autobahn to finish out the afternoon. Great dinner and raffle by the club, then aired up and headed home. Thanks to Vaska Basham with Motomapchick for riding along with me in the afternoon and getting some great shots of the group, make sure to give her a follow to see them!
Definitely a great first experience as a trail guide for this event, might have to do it again. Thanks, Dave Killion, for reaching out.
