Pictured is a thermostat stuck open which something that it may not be that big of a deal but it truly is. In the past before emissions was on equipment this would be like a complaint of slow to build temperature or not building temperature or overheat conditions. But this simple little part is more critical today with emissions than it was in the past because if your engine is not coming up to operate in temperature and staying in a range of where it should be the computer will never recognize it as warm enough to initiate a regeneration during normal operation and eventually we'll build up to a sooted up dpf requiring a manual regeneration. The moral of the story is that sometimes it's the simple little things that are the problem that get overlooked and eventually lead to bigger problems the cost bigger money. Catch the simple stuff early maybe even ask questions and try to have a diagnosed before it becomes bigger more expensive problem in the future.

The biggest reason fleets miss their goals isn’t lack of effort—it’s not being clear on the target.

In construction, the target is getting the job done.
In transportation, it’s the load and the destination.
In delivery, it’s that package arriving on time.

So when it comes to equipment and maintenance, the mission is simple: help someone else hit their target.
