Flying W Models - Remote Control Model Airplane Building Service

Flying W Models - Remote Control Model Airplane Building Service We are a small company dedicated to the manufacture of high quality radio controlled aircraft. It is run by Scott Wilson who has been modeling since 1980.

Flying W Models offering custom building services for the R/C modelers who either lacked the time to build or the skill level required to build the model they have always dreamed of having. Flying W offers a complete building service from airframes to completed aircraft, ready to fly:
•Frame up from kits
•Frame up from scratch (plans or your design)
•Assembly of ARF type models
•Assembly of foamy

type models
•Repairs
•Covering using all types: fabric, plastic, tissue and dope, fiberglass, etc.
•Recovering of models to you color scheme
•Setup of R/C equipment and bench running of engines
Typical time and cost of a build: Most large planes take 6 to 8 months to build to the point they are ready to cover or fiber glass. I charge $6.00 per hour for labor, plus materials. Special planes and adding goodies can take longer and do increase the man hour cost. Fly W completes all jobs based on an estimated quote and written agreement. A detailed work order will be provided to the customer, specifying the level of completion requested, as per customer instructions. What the customer will end up with is a great model for good, practical, everyday flying model that has enough detailing to be a convincing replica of the full size aircraft.
