Mud berth!
While I've been settling back in and generally lying-low, Tally Ho has been safely tucked away in a mud-berth. These are common in the UK, but many people might be unfamiliar with them. At high tide there is plenty of water to navigate to the marina pontoon, and then when the tide goes out the boats simply sit in the soft mud. Over time, more and more mud is displaced by the hull until the vessel is almost floating in a tiny pool.
Although vessels are limited in terms of when they can enter and exit the marina, mud-berths have some advantages too - there is less marine growth, and I suppose there is a bit less chance of the boat floating away somehow!
