“I see a lot of new barges posted all across social media and I’m shocked by the lack of smart design features. It’s apparent that most small barge builders lack experience in proper shipbuilding practices. If a professional engineer (PE) has not contributed to the design of ALL aspects of your new barge or pushboat, you will end up with a product that is inferior. I see awkward pilot houses made of steel with travel trailer windows and doors, I see homemade hatches and kevels, and I see a ton of completely dysfunctional outboard engine bracket designs. BargeWorx was founded on the principle of bringing proper, large-scale, shipbuilding best practice to small commercial vessel construction. The same engineering, material and workmanship we utilize in our large vessel construction is exactly what we use on your truckable barge or pushboat.
