Check this one out. A few months ago I was asked if I could take care of this ole Peterbilt. Trucks are a little different. I’ve washed them before but never polished one. It’s just like a car only bigger, right? Right 😜…this truck spent its life farming. A lot of kids probably learned how to drive in it.
I tackled it section by section. I buffed and polished the hood once and didn’t like the way it turned out. So I machine sanded it with 3000 grit, then stepped it out with a rotary and DA. The sides of the sleeper were sanded as well. I also removed 26 year old decals on the doors and sleeper. These areas were sanded as well. There was dried concrete on the back of the sleeper. It had been there for a few years. I removed the concrete with a hydrofluoric acid, neutralized it and polished it when I was done. I think it turned out pretty good for the age of the truck. Pictures don’t do it justice. After I did my part with the paint, a metal polisher cleaned up all of the aluminum. Now this ole truck is ready to hit the road and make some money.
