The PETERSEN DREAM. Built for Mr.

Hot Rod, Robert Petersen of Petersen Publishing. Built by John Dianna editor of Hot Rod Magazine. Built sometime in 2003 2004 and was NEVER driven.
36 miles were noted on the speedometer when this way
overbuilt Hot Rod finally left the petersen Vault in 2013. Specifications:

Body- 1932 all steel with smooth doors, dash and trunk by Rod Bods
Body- 3 piece hood by Jack Hagemann Jr. Windsceen- custo

m made by Creative Concepts. Grill and Shell- Dan Fink- Radiator- by Walker Radiator. Frame- 1932 rails by justahobby and boxed and tubed by Scott's Hot Rods
Front Suspension- traditional but yet specially drilled CenPen by Pete and Jakes. Steering- Polished billet steering box and lakes style column with 2 tone wheel by Borgansen/Mullin
Brakes- Wilwood discs all four corners. Rear Suspension- Non Traditional 4 link with Panard bar by Scott's Hot Rods
Motor- Ford Racing 302 crate with 2 Four Barrel set up by Edelbock
Motor- Ford Racing Headers jethot coated. MSD distributor,
Valve Covers and Air Cleaner by Edelbrock. Zoops belt set up. Exhaust- Stainless custom made by Borla
Transmission- C4 auto with deep sump by TPI
Shifter- Lokar long stick and also billet dash cluster by Lokar
Rear End- Posi 9 inch Ford shortened to 55 1/2 inches 3:70 gears. Instuments- Custom made with "Pete" and "Margies" name by Classic Instuments. Tires- Firestone big and littles by Coker Tire. Wheels- Sugar City Knock offs by Colorado Customs and coated By Zoops Seal. Interior Custom fitted Soft Tan to Mr.Petersens large frame by R & R San Diego. Top- Bop Top custom made to fit custom windsceen frame in Sand by Sid Chavers. Paint- Jaguar Regency Red by R & R San Diego . Pinstriping- Custom made with "Pete" and "Margies" name by Hot Dog. Final assembly- by R & R San Diego.

Robert PETE Petersen’s collection of automobiles is legendary. He was known to travel in later years in a Bentley Continental GT, but some of his personal automobiles included a Bugatti Veyron and several Ferraris, including a Superamerica, a F550 Barchetta Pininfarina and a F355 Spyder. AND he was also quoted as saying, “Any car’s value is in its provenance,” Petersen told Motor Trend in an interview. “If you have Clark Gable’s Caddy, it makes it worth more, plus it’s more interesting.” And I think he knew a few things.....Yes he did........

BREAKING NEWS...........

The La Roadsters have allowed me to put Pete's last Hot Rod inside of building 4 this year at the La Roadster show happening on Fathers day weekend at the Pomona Fairplex. A special thank you to all who helped make this happen...... I am stoked about this. I will be working on displays and hope to see all of you there. Especially any Magazine editors. wink wink....lol
