81 E1 in for some diagnostics and repair.
Had a databus communication error that was causing issues with several modules on the CAN network not being able to 'talk' to one another. Spent hours with the oscilloscope taking measurements throughout the CANBUS network and all modules to eventually trace the issue to the Allison transmission TCM (computer). This is what good, solid diagnostics is all about- tracing the problem down correctly to find the actual failed component the first time and not just loading up the parts canon and changing a bunch of expensive parts till it finally works again like many out there do by changing parts that were actually just fine. Proper diagnosis save you $$$. Every time.
