Customer scheduled repair due to state inspection requiring pad and rotor replacement. Vehicle was dropped off the night before, with work beginning the following day. Pads and rotors were visually inspected and tested, confirming the need for replacement. New pads and rotors were installed, followed by a test drive. Vehicle was cleared for inspection.

Customer had a concern with their brakes and scheduled a diagnosis. Upon arrival, I did a test drive and when driving there was a noise. However, when brakes were applied the noise would stop. Rotors and pads were fine on inspection. The noise was identified as a brake anti-rattle clip rubbing on the rotor. Old clip was removed and new one installed stopping the noise. The customer paid a diagnose fee and was able to return the pads and rotors they purchased.

Customer had a lighting issue and scheduled an appointment. Diagnostic revealed a burnt out filament in the bulb. However, when performing the test, the clip got damaged. I informed the customer immediately, replaced the clip, installed the bulbs and lighting was returned back to normal.

Customer experienced a no-start issue following a complete power loss, where the vehicle shut down and refused to restart. Diagnostic testing indicated the battery had no charge. After conducting a jump-start, the cables were removed, and the vehicle immediately stalled. Further examination revealed the alternator was not generating a charge while the engine was running. The alternator was replaced, and following a jump-start, the vehicle remained operational and successfully produced a charge.

A customer scheduled a diagnostic visit due to an oil leak and illuminated check engine light following an oil change at a service center. Prior to inspecting the vehicle, the oil was drained, and a thorough examination of the filter, filter housing, oil pan, timing cover, seals, and valve covers was conducted after cleaning. Having checked the most probable causes, including a double gasket or cracked oil filter housing, new oil was added, and the vehicle was started to locate the leak. Upon immediate startup, the issue was identified as a failed gasket on the alternator bracket, which attaches to the engine's side and interfaces with oil lines. The findings were communicated to the customer.

The customer’s vehicle recently underwent maintenance at a shop where the lug nuts were over-torqued, resulting in one breaking off completely. Given the vehicle's age and the presence of seized components, replacement was deemed necessary. Consequently, the axle, hub assembly, and knuckle were removed and replaced. A successful day even with rain on the forecast.

Customer recently had a shop rotate their tires and the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) wasn’t reading correctly. Vehicle was put into relearn mode and the sensors pressure readings were reassigned, eliminating the light on their dash.

A diagnostic evaluation was performed in response to a check engine light. Code reader suggested a potential evap leak. After locating the sensor, an inspection was performed. Upon removal, a detailed examination exposed a degraded gasket with small rips. A replacement sensor was purchased and fitted, effectively rectifying the issue and clearing the check engine light.
