One of the few automobiles ever to win Best of Show at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance is returning to the market. The award-winning 1937 Delage D8-120 S Aerodynamic Coupe—widely regarded as one of the finest examples of prewar French coachbuilding—will be offered next month with an estimate of up to $6 million. The streamlined prototype, designed by Georges Paulin and bodied by Marcel Pourtout, features a handcrafted aluminum-and-steel body, a 4.75-liter straight-eight engine, and a painstaking restoration that returned it to its original Art Deco form before earning Pebble Beach's highest honor.
