After these next couple of bikes are done there will be some changes at Mid Coast Concepts.
1. If you are on a deadline, I’m not the shop for you. With ALL the industry backorders and blown delivery dates it is not practical to promise deadlines.
2. If you are on a crazy budget, I’m not the shop for you. If your project requires me to compromise my standards for parts or use parts that I would never use on my personal bike then you’re project needs to go elsewhere.
3. If you think that your project will be the only one being worked on then I am not the shop for you. I am a one man shop and have to manage projects (bike and personal related).
4. I treat my customers like family. You’re welcome at my home and shop. You have my personal cell. But if you abuse those privileges, and they are privileges, you WILL be asked to come pick up your bike and take it elsewhere.
5. Some project will start being quoted as time and materials. There seem to be too many bikes out here that haven’t been maintained EVER and have rusted/broken bolts or hacked up wiring on them. Issues like that are not caused by me and I will not continue to absorb the time to fix them.
If you know me and my work you know that I pour my time, sweat and sometimes blood into every project. I lose sleep when parts don’t arrive on time. I stress myself out when things don’t go to my standards. I treat your bikes as if there were my own. Every build gets all of my attention. I don’t pump out bikes left and right because that’s not my business model and never will be.
If that’s OK with you then welcome to the Mid Coast Concepts family. If it’s not OK, that’s OK too. Thanks for reading and hopefully understanding these changes.
